Course overview
HVAC technicians must be certified to purchase refrigerants covered by Section 608 regulations. Ace Tech Institute is a certifying agency for Section 608 exam. This is a prep course plus test for EPA/CFC 608 exam. The enrollment fee includes both the textbook and 6-month guarantee policy.

Course Introduction

Effective 2016, all Specialty test will require pre-approval from DPOR prior to taking the examination. For more information please contact the Board for Contractors Licensing Section directly at (804) 367-8511. You will get a copy of 3 page ‘Experience Verification‘ form to submit to VA DPOR, while in our class.
Your pre-approval (of your Specialty pre-qualification) ccould be required anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Please check VA DPOR’s optional “Expedite process” requiring extra fees.

Qualification to Test

Completion of 8-hour prelicensing

Warranty

We need to verify your payment/registration receipt before you can rejoin classes.

Six (6) months for Tradesman License:

  • We will not charge you any extra fees if you’re within the guaranteed period
  • Retake the course if you fail the exam if you’re within the guaranteed period. The guarantee starts on the first day of class. (You need to pay a $75 test fee.)

You will need to repay a partial amount to join classes again after the guarantee has expired. We can give you a 25% discount from the original price.

We apologize, but there will NOT be discounts after 12 months from the initial registration.
